GWCOC Committees

We invite you to get engaged with our Chamber’s efforts to further our mission by joining one of our committees.

Budget & Finance Committee
Chaired by Chandi Ankrum, R & R Specialties
Held in January, April, July, October prior to Executive Committee Meeting plus Budget Prep
Reviews and approves monthly financial reports; develops and recommends to the full Board the annual operating and capital budgets; consults with other committees on planned expenditure requests and policies;
manages Chamber investments to achieve financial goals. Budget Committee is Executive Committee plus one Board member.

By-Laws Committee
Chaired by Alan Gould, Alan I. Gould, P.C.
Reviews and updates by-laws; develops and recommends operational policies, e.g. personnel and purchasing
policies) OPEN COMMITTEE

Events Committee
Chaired by Lori Roach, Laura’s Fudge
Plans and coordinates fund-raising events e.g. Restaurant Showcase, Murder Mystery Weekend and the Food and Music Festival; evaluates and recommends events or other methods to increase revenue for GWCOC. Concerts do not fall under this committee. OPEN COMMITTEE

Membership Committee
Chaired by Chandi Ankrum, R & R Specialties
Assists the Member Services Professional in his/her job function. Evaluates and recommends methods to improve member recruitment and retention programs, membership benefits, brochure; develops programs for diversifying membership base; coordinates educational seminars, plans and coordinates regular membership meetings and mixers. OPEN COMMITTEE

Nominating Committee
Chaired by Jodie DiEduardo, Crest Savings Bank
Recommends a slate of candidates for election as Chamber Officers and Board of Directors; works with the Executive Director and Board President in vetting new candidates for open positions on the Board. OPEN COMMITTEE

Strategic Planning Committee
Chaired by Jessica Brown Schwakoff, M.S. Brown Jewelers
Reviews, updates and adds to the GWCOC approved Strategic Plan. Works with other committees to make sure that the set goals are achieved. OPEN COMMITTEE

Sub-Committee of Strategic Planning Committee is: Internet/Technology Committee
Reviews existing technology; recommends and oversees programs to use technology and the Internet to better serve our members. OPEN COMMITTEE

Young Professionals Coalition Committee
Chaired by Casey Byrne, J. Byrne Agency; Chrissy Casiello, CM Collective; Kyle Morey, Morey's Organization
Recommends and implements programs and events for young professionals that give them the opportunity to grow their leadership skills, serve the Wildwoods community, network with peers, and engage with political, civic and business leaders.
