The Wild Scoop Ice Cream & Coffee Bar Plan Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The public, press, and local officials are invited to attend the grand opening celebration of The Wild Scoop Ice Cream and Coffee Bar on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 at 4:00 pm located at 3411 Pacific Avenue, Wildwood. The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce will host a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome the new business to downtown Wildwood. The Wild Scoop serves 24 different varieties of ice cream, along with fresh baked goodies, milk shakes, Italian water ice and iced coffee.
The name The Wild Scoop Ice Cream and Coffee Bar came about because of owners Matthew Sicilia and Carly Hall Sicilia’s focus on being from Wildwood. They both wanted to invest back into the town that they grew up in and put their hearts and souls into creating an ice cream store that locals and visitors would be proud of. The Wild Scoop not only sells 24 flavors of ice cream, but also hopes to create fun family memories for customers.
The Wild Scoop will be an experience for customers with plenty of characters, lighting, and music. In-door and out-door seating is available. The Wild Scoop will be open for most events that will take place in the new Byrne Plaza which will be the event hub for downtown Wildwood. This plaza will be directly across the street from The Wild Scoop. Matthew and Carly are very excited about the upcoming opening of the plaza and plan to work closely with the WBID to provide guests of the events with services that they expect from a world class resort town.
Owners Matthew Sicilia and Carly Hall Sicilia are graduates of Wildwood High School class of 2000 and 2001 and have long local ties to the Island. Carly’s grandfather, Woodrow Hall, owned Woody’s Bar in North Wildwood. Matt’s grandfather, “Cookie” Jules Sicilia, was a former Wildwood Boardwalk Inspector.
